Review on πŸ”¨ Enhance Woodworking Efficiency with the Performance Tool W3901 Hammer by John Hall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sturdy but not accurate. Hardly worth the $17 price tag.

Sturdy but not precise. The sliding jaw is very wobbly and doesn't have a machined sliding fit on the base (like a T shape or a cone shape like a real drill vise). Workpiece or part you want to drill or machine but not very accurate due to wobbly jaws. Thus, no really precise positioning of the workpiece can be achieved than if the sliding block were more limited. I wasn't expecting much for $17 and didn't get it. These aren't my main drill press vises, I needed them for a special jig I'm building and it kind of fills the bill for that. I like to call such fictitious tools "dummy products”. They appear to be a product they claim to be, but lack the essential qualities of the original. In that case it would be some loss of accuracy. What did I expect from China?
