Review on MOBI GARDEN Waterproof Protection Automatic by Patrick Burton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not for 4 people; Suitable for 1-2 adults; Prices do not apply to sand; Easy setting; Good ventilation

This is a light to medium weight tent. It has several positive qualities and several disadvantages as discussed below. BENEFITS - Easy to apply and remove (PHOTO) - Fabric is water repellent and looks durable (PHOTO) - It is well ventilated, with two screened side windows that close with a zip flap and screened roof vents. (PHOTO) - Removable rain cover stays securely in place while providing roof ventilation. (PHOTOS) - The bottom is very waterproof - The zipped door is wide and easy to get in and out of - It's light. They open and close with a snap mechanism. (They feel a bit "flaky" so time will tell how durable they are and how long the locking mechanism lasts - I haven't had this tent long enough to comment on its durability.) CONS - The main issue concerns the product of Revain The description says that this is a 4 person tent. The description says "spacious for 2 adults and 2 children". This is very deceptive. While so many people could sleep, it would be very impractical without the extra space to move or store items. It's definitely not "spacious" for 4 people. See my PHOTO of a 5'9 man in a tent. The tent is not long enough for that person to lie down fully. We actually decided it would only sleep 2 people comfortably and even better would be a single tent to store extra items (backpack, clothes etc) - the stakes provided are a bit inadequate. They are short (7 inches long) and smooth with no grip properties. They are definitely not suitable for beach camping as they do not stick to the sand. If you take this tent to the beach, you will need longer, better quality pegs. (PHOTO) - I would hesitate to use the tent in very windy conditions as the poles are flimsy and the poles are too short. This tent doesn't seem designed for winter camping in the snow as it can collapse under the weight of heavy snow. Although the tent breaks easily, it is quite difficult to put it back in a small bag (PHOTOS).- The instructions provided are not in English. But there are illustrations with instructions. In fact, setting up the tent is fairly intuitive, so instructions may not be needed. CONCLUSION Overall this tent seems value for money given its expected durability. It should serve well for basic camping needs and has some nice features. Just look for the actual measurements in the product description and don't expect it to be as comfortable for 4 people as advertised. Also note the limitations that come with relatively short and skinny bets.
