Works well up to 40-50ft. Definitely illuminated a dark area outside the camera's limited lighting range. I have no regrets with my purchase and definitely recommend it as a good value for the money. Update: 02/28/2020 Customer service is great! Update: 07/22/2021 This is a really great little flashlight. I like it because it seems to be the only light that plugs directly into 120V AC without a "wall wart" adapter. My only issue with this light is that LEDs don't last more than two years, maybe less. Not all LEDs burn out immediately, so image quality slowly degrades, making it difficult to notice subtle dimming. I still recommend this flashlight for its brand new quality, unique power option and great customer service. Just be prepared to replace the lamp every 18 months or so, at least if you use it outdoors.
