Review on Cable Converts Digital Signal Analog by Jerry Mangum

The product worked as described and converted HDMI audio/video to analog, however there were a few issues that caused me to give it a 3 star rating. The sound quality sounded good. No problem. The quality of the resulting image was inferior to traditional HDMI. Think cable internet versus DSL/DUN. The image was a bit bulky and the resolution had to be increased to better see the text (800 resolution versus 1300 with native HDMI). Nothing I saw in the descriptions indicated an expected loss. I found out later that other reviews had mentioned this but they pointed out older TVs and this was a newer TV with both HDMI and analogue connections. There were some issues with HDMI that led me to this product to check out the analog side. The biggest problem I noticed with the image is the size and position of the image. The image could never fit the screen perfectly. It was either too small and had black borders (an inch or more) or it was too big and the edges were cropped (maybe half an inch). I tried changing the settings on the TV but nothing worked. There are no problems with native HDMI. In addition to the fact that there was nothing on the device to fix it manually, I had to post this review. It works, but maybe there are other options.
