Love this product. Works perfectly. Super easy to use. Can't imagine how anyone could break one like some reviews say.One suggestion is to size up. I bought the small which is supposed to hold 16oz of coffee. But that isn't true. I buy 12oz bags of beans and it only holds about half. They should definitely update that in the description.My picture shows the 12oz bag with half the beans filling up the jar. That's the only reason Iit didn't get 5 stars from me.I love it otherwise.

As air tight storage goes, this is a nifty idea and actually works quite well for coffee beans. Air tightness is good though I could smell the coffee beans in my pantry after I put it away. The freshness of the beans is acceptable day by day, but I wish there was a device that would hold the full bouquet of the roast! Nothing like the blast of freshly roasted beans first thing in the morning!

I read the reviews and was skeptical about buying them, but the design is Beautiful and I am so glad I did. They are perfectly sized for a house of 2. I added pics of them and the great packaging. So in 1 I have loose tea, the second one had powder cream and the 3 has sugar. No issues with opening them or seeing residue on the glass. Each time I pull the plunger out, the smell which bursts forth is like that rich smell the first time you open the store container/bag of coffee, or open your bean grinder after grinding. Glass is always my choice for food contact storage and these are a great (but fragile) method of storing teff, quinoa, cargo rice, barley, and beans. I have bought them in the past and love them.

I wanted a coffee storage container that was easy to open and easy to close and was not messy to use. I just put the coffee in the container, and them I push down on the cover and it slides easily into the container. Don't be fooled by the relatively thick glass. This container is very fragile. One light bump and the container is ruined and the coffee inside is contaminated with glass shards. It lasted less than a week.

Being able to push the air out is great. However it could go more on the wider side instead of tall and narrow. Another problem is misleading is how much it holds. I got the Large that says holds 46 oz. The coffee beans I’ve been getting says 16 oz. The large won’t hold all the beans. I would need to use another large are a medium for the rest.

I LOVE this product! I blend my own mix of coffee (50% Maxwell House original, 50% New England Coffee Blueberry Cobbler). When the time comes to mix my coffee grounds, I just open up my Prepara Evak container and alternate scoops of coffee grounds, put the lid back on (leaving some air space), shake her up real good, then push the lid down to eliminate the airspace. I have all of the sizes this is offered in now, multiples of the larger two, and don't regret a single purchase.They look nice on my counter, they really do keep the food in them from going stale, and there's something weirdly satisfying about the feel of pulling the lid out and pushing it back in.

I use this to store my pipe tobacco in. For the non-pipe smoker, it's important to keep your tobacco from drying out, at which point it's just terrible to smoke. I bought this hoping it would solve the problem of tobacco drying in the bag (I buy it by the pound, so it lasts a while). I have found that there is a little drying in this container, but not very much (and anyway, pipe tobacco is very finicky). I put a hydration stone in, and it solved the problem nicely. What a simple 'visual' way to store and seal pipe tobacco.An occasional application of a Boveda pack inside the seal to add some humidity,but the Prepara seals that moisture for quite a while.Looks nice too, and easy to inspect the goods without opening.Thanks

Don't waste your $ on a container that seems to cost less. I've been using one Prepara for probably 10 years, still keeps my coffee beans fresh for a month or more. The only real vacuum seal I know of that doesn't use a pump or some other mechanism. Slide down the lid, done. Simple, handsome design. Real glass, not plastic so it gets truly clean.

Works well and looks nice.A bag of coffee beans fills it right to the top.Careful putting the plunger in too far. It will shatter when you pull it out if there's too much pressure.

I like the thick glass container, handy size for my shelves, and the ease of removing and resealing the lid using the large handle. I gave one to a family member and plan to buy more!
