Too sticky can do more harm than good

Adhesive tape is very sticky - maybe too much. It is not easy to remove and may damage fabric furniture. While it worked as described - cats hate the feeling of being sticky - it feels stickier than necessary and also rips patches off our cat's fur at times. After we removed it from two types of fabrics, including our carpet and fabric sofa, it ripped out the thread and fibers with it. Our curtains required considerable effort to remove, resulting in damage to the black side of the panels. The damage was probably greater than what our cat could have done, unfortunately. So while it can get the job done, I think one side could be significantly less sticky to avoid damaging the materials it's sticking to. I would suggest testing a small strip in an inconspicuous area where you intend to stick it to see how it performs before applying to a large area. items rather than wrapping duct tape around our furniture, although this helped soften some of the behavior

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Lack of maintainability
