Review on DeLonghi DC55TCW Coffeemaker Timer White by Jeff Kickthedogband

If I still had the box I would return it!

I bought this car from Lowes for about $26 - it was on sale and now I know why! It worked properly for the first week, then the flavoring button stopped working, and when it stopped working, the entire brewing cycle turned off. I have my own garden center and if I want a cup of coffee during the break, I expect the coffee to be there after set up and then come back. I just stopped using the aroma button and went for the "normal" brew cycle. This feature stopped working when I just poured 4 cups of water into the machine. About a cup brewed and turned off. I started adding a little more water and the concoction was fine. Of course, that taste button is missing. It saturates the base before the actual brewing begins. I have to say that I will never buy a coffee maker with a thermograph again. If you set it up the night before or don't heat the carafe before brewing, you'll need to heat your cup of coffee, especially if you use cold crema like I do. I thought it had a "Keep Warm" sign on it, but it doesn't. I don't think thermographers do this due to the safety issues associated with a sealed thermographer. So don't expect hot coffee from a cold thermograph. I consider this to be the main disadvantage of thermal imaging equipment. After all, isn't hot coffee hot when you pour it? It would be very inconvenient to warm up the thermograph before making coffee, especially in a hurry. I would have taken it back but one of my kids sent the box for recycling and it was taken before I found it. Overall I would say it's not even worth the $26 I paid for it.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
