It took scissors, a seam ripper and a magnifying glass to remove the plastic parts holding the socks in the box and yet no matter how careful I was, some the threads ripped, resulting in a hole in the fabric. But since the price was good and there were a lot of them in the pack I decided to sew the holes and leave them. These are not warm socks. They are designed for running in warm weather. In fact, my feet sweat a little more in them than in ASICS socks, which I like a lot better. Next time I'll go back to Asics socks.
