I can use at least a month from one - yes ONE - paper filter (my current filter is two months old, rinse after each use). Preferences: 1) Hot water pre-moistened with "Bloom" coffee grounds, just enough to steep them and release some more flavor. 2) Regular Ground Coffee (Espresso/Turkish Ground Coffee may cause water to collect unless your dripper is set to a very low speed). 3) Filtered water to keep minerals from clogging the unit. 4) Soak the drip hole in white vinegar once a month to clean debris. Tip: Make sure that the droplet speed does not exceed the speed that can pass through the coffee and the filter. What a mess!
