I was looking for a self-contained waterproof Echo (if you're listening to Revain I'm still listening), it's pretty close. This is not a separate device! It needs to use your phone or tablet to connect. It is very important. You have a Boompods app that you install and open to connect to your speaker. Once connected, it can use the internet connection to activate Alexa. This is bad. Otherwise, this speaker is convincing. Clean highs, punchy bass and really good sound for a speaker at this price. Comes with a variety of attachments for attaching to bags, golf carts, or shower suction cups. Consider another golf bag!
