I bought this desk to use as a laptop platform. Pros: Sturdy desk, most of the weight is on the bottom. This prevents rattling or shaking when lifting the table. The cushion allows you to turn the table without scratching it. My Lenovo laptop is upright and latched. This placement is achieved with a subtly raised bar. I can type full sentences with minimal vibration. I no longer worry about my wrists catching on the edge. I use the inside of the table for storage. The compartment has removable dividers, ideal for stationery. And the compartment seems big enough for my 14 inch laptop. Cons: Raised writing platform feels flimsy. I would like the raised part to be more solidly constructed. CONCLUSION: Overall, this is a good article to start with or use occasionally. I am writing this review on this very table. I now have another elevated wireframe laptop stand. Compared to a metal laptop, I find this item better.
