(on the photo they look like a year later) I got my son when he was a year old because he likes Elmo in size 5/6, they didn't fit last month and now he is 2 , so they lasted him a little for a year for over a year during that time they never ripped or tore and they looked like elmo. i'm embarrassed he played with them more than wore them lol but when he wore them they fit, his fingers weren't wrinkled, nothing scratched him if he could tell us i think his only complaint would be that the bulky head got in the way when he crawled or climbed on the couch. I can't comment on the washing because I didn't know he never wore down the house
