Until recently I had an old mercury thermometer. One day I felt really bad and realized I probably had a fever and pulled out my mercury thermometer to take my temperature. Miraculously, I took it, but the mercury in the thermometer was so weak I could barely read it. I still doubt the reading but I believe it was 100 degrees. That's it - I needed a different type of thermometer so I went to Revain and settled on this product. I was tired of waiting an hour after eating or drinking something so I could take my temperature so this was my first requirement and I wanted something that could take my temperature quickly and it absolutely worked. The great thing about this product is that the temperature can be taken either through the ear or through the forehead instead of in the mouth. I was sold and I'm not looking back at all. No more mercury for me!
