Plastic clips do not hold

Kit quick as described. When I started balancing the three-blade fan, everything went fine with the plastic clip in the middle. My fan blades taper towards the end. Once I found the right blade, I moved it to the end where the fan was narrower. The clip had no elasticity and immediately flew off. I received another clip from the kit that had not yet been stretched and has held up well. Note, however, that the hard plastic does not spring back after "stretching". Luckily nothing disturbed the flying clip.
