These goggles are pretty basic. I think the egg cups are too small. They stick to my eyes (no leakage!) but they're so snug they leave serious gouges under my eyes when I'm done swimming. It doesn't depend on how tight the carrying strap is, but on the design of the eyepiece. They may be appropriate for children, but I find them painful. They come with four nose bridges so you can adjust the distance between the eyecups. (Use needle nose pliers to gently pry the part out of the holes to break it off with a simple pull. I didn't break anything but thought I would; the pliers worked great.
