I bought this to have next to my sewing machine. I have a new car and it has very good light, but I only got it to illuminate dark spots where I need extra light. it's very convenient, i love the fact that it charges via usb so i don't have to buy batteries or plug it into the socket. Light has 3 levels. I take it out on the sunny porch when it gets dark and I go to the gym. Great for that. It is very light, making it easy to carry. The different colors of the lights on the base are fun. it sets off a nice shine in my workshop. remains charged for several hours and emits sufficient light. perfect for what i wanted. pretty fast charging. and I've had enough for a few hours or days. Depending on how long my light is on. I don't use it every day. but I like it. 5*s
