Review on πŸ“± Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350 Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement by Josel Lambert

It works out. - Digitizer

Managed to fix the cracked screen. It's not an easy process and probably the reason most repair shops won't fix the Tab A. Removing the factory screen is a little tricky but doable if you take your time. I scratched both sides with a knife and broke the back panel. After installing the new screen, it did not stand still and was noticeably raised. The solution is probably to get some very thin double sided tape - which I didn't have and didn't want to order. I used a very thin layer of super glue (I know it melts plastic) but I was able to get the screen off with no problems. After gluing I used large overnight clamps to hold the screen. The tablet is housed in a "protective sleeve" so cracks and chips are never visible. I recommend buying double sided tape when ordering. If my tablet's screen cracks again, I'll never get it off because of the superglue used.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Annoying
