It's Just Okay

First, let me say that I am an experienced resin user. I decided to try this resin based YouTuber that I follow. I was interested in the transparency and viscosity I noticed in his video. I've also noted previous reviewers' comments about shipping and leakage issues. I just received my bottles. I only ordered 16 ounces. Sentence. I just wanted to try. Here's what I found. When I opened the packaging, I noticed that the bottles weren't packed very securely. Just a light box of bottles. I didn't have any significant leaks from the bottles, but it was evident that they leaked at some point, although there was no residue in the box itself. A bottle was slightly smaller. For some, that doesn't matter much, and if it doesn't, you need to learn a little more about resin! It's annoying that at some point I have more hardener left over than resin. I've also found that the tops aren't as secure as they could be. It's basically a milk carton lid. The neck of the bottle is very wide, which makes it difficult to pour out. So here's what. The resin itself works like any other resin. I used a very small amount, 10ml, for my test. So I wouldn't degas in my chamber or use a high pressure pan. I wanted to see how it would work without those benefits. I put the resin in a bath of hot water until my temperature reached about 90 degrees. cause more problems. No worse and no better. But bubbles, folks, bubbles! Apparently the YouTuber I linked to uses a degassing chamber to remove bubbles. I've had much better results with the resin I'm currently using. for letting my resin sit/heat up. This resin is also expensive compared to many brands and offers much better performance. One in particular (the one I use) costs $13.00 less for a set of the same size. Overall, I'm not in seventh heaven with this resin. She's not bad, but she's not great either. This is a common resin that has a higher price. I've attached photos of the packaging as well as the stands I pulled out this morning.
