These socks are very comfortable with a very soft seam in the toe area that is not too annoying. The landing is not generous. I wear women's 9's and they fit me perfectly. Someone with a much larger foot will likely find them uncomfortable. They are thin on all sides and the "soft sole" they talk about in the info is almost non-existent. I see no difference between top and bottom. They're also fairly short, hitting just above the ankle, not even mid-calf. It is difficult to determine the height of the sock from the photos as they do not show it on a real leg.
