Review on Enhance Audio Flexibility with ART Splitcom Pro 2 Way Microphone Splitter and Combiner by Eric Beck

I use this for PA and A/B comparison (processor/preamp testing). I was considering other options (JS-2 at a higher price) but saw these at a famous animation studio I worked for and decided to try ART ProSplit. added my microphone sound and no hiss/hum/distortion because I inserted this block into my signal stream. I have never needed a groundlift or door station. That's a GREAT value for what I got from it. I switch from my mic to ART; then to my USB audio interface with one channel set to nominal level and channel 2 set to -12 below. When I'm recording at home, I arm and record two separate channels. This allows me to record important takes or stream them to another studio or into my DAW software. If I get too loud, I can usually salvage any clipping in my DAW by using pure channel 2 sound, with no clipping. This comes in very handy when working with video games and animation projects where whispers and screams can be very different. That already saved my bacon!
