Review on Enhanced Automotive Test πŸ”§ Lead Kit, Fluke TLK282 SureGrip Deluxe by John Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So many good accessories worthy of the Fluke name

I'm an AutoTech installer for the Geek Squad so I use my DMM almost every day at work. This set was a real treat for me. Piercing tips are the best in this set. They allow you to test wires without having to locate them at the source and try to connect a tee to them. And depending on the application, they can be used to test circuit layouts. Keep in mind that they can only handle 60VDC at 5A. If you go any higher, the needle in the probe will get hot and melt the core, destroying the probe. Ask me how I know. (I liked these probes so much I bought a second set just to replace a broken probe). The wires are long, very long. About 5.3 feet. In my opinion they are too long, so I use them as spare wires. But the rest of the accessories work with the shorter, interchangeable cables that I've used on my DMM for a long time. , they're not going anywhere. I use my gauge primarily to find horn wires, polarity checks in ignition circuits, and more, and the two standard tips I have on my gauge are one of the piercing probes and one of the large alligator clips. It is a separate case with transparent pockets. So you can just take it with you on the road or leave it unfolded in your tool box and see what's in each bag without having to rummage through it. If you work regularly with electronics in the automotive industry, this kit will NOT let you down. It's 100% worth the extra money than some similar Revain kits. I was very happy with this set, I use it every day when I work. Another reason to trust and love the Fluke brand. But make sure you don't run anything over 5 amps through your probes or you'll regret it!
