These connectors are pretty much the same as the OEM connectors that came with my Thermal Arc 252i welder. The first picture shows red wire #1 and black wire 2/0. There is enough space in the plug for a 2/0 cable. There is little to no difference between the vendor's second image and the OEM's Thermal Arc above and this vendor in the middle. Connections during assembly. The terminals are completely closed. The 3rd picture shows 2 connected cables. I don't understand what can go wrong with these connectors. I have to say I haven't exposed them to oil so I can't say if oil will attack them. They work. as they should and at a very good price. I hope you have as much luck with them as I have.
