this kid connected via my crappy Att router/modem which had a terrible intermittent and lagging signal. this worked great, my wi-fi on all my devices has a stronger signal now, like 3 wi-fi bands instead of 2 - stable signal, no lag between loading things - much better features and looks than your stock router , very happy with it when purchased it was very easy to set up within 30 minutes. EDIT: Note that the range of this router is in the middle, the signal strength is certainly higher than advertised. I have a middle-class country house, not some huge mansion. The connection suffers a lot when you're behind two walls, but perhaps that's the standard for Wi-Fi. but when I'm upstairs in the bathroom, or even downstairs at the other end of the house, sometimes the WiFi just cuts out. But don't expect a perfect router for the price.
