Review on ๐Ÿงน SL635A Sanitaire Professional Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner by Brett Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent, durable, no-frills old-school vacuum

Our canister vacuum broke so it's time to buy a new one. All we needed was an old-fashioned upright vacuum โ€“ similar to the one we've been using since I received a Eureka upright vacuum as a wedding present 45 years ago. One with a cord and pouch and gets along well with our rugs. And that's it! My favorite Eureka, now renamed Sanitaire. This one is for commercial use so it's a little heavier and a bit noisier than some of the fancier vacuums, but it does the job well and the price is great for a reliable vacuum. It adapts to different pile carpets, uses the same bags (Eureka F&G) and a durable cloth bag. It doesn't have a light, but I've never found it useful, so that's not a problem. We are very happy with it. The weight doesn't matter as it is only intended for use on one level of the house. We don't have pets so I have no idea how this affects pet dander. The extended cable is great. Over the years we've tried other brands and other types of vacuums and we always come back to good old Eureka. I use a 31 year old Eureka upstairs and the guy who painted our bedrooms said it was the best vacuum he's ever used.
