Review on Feline Pine Original Litter 7 Pound by Jerry Toscano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big improvement best in filler and housebreak

This review is more about the actual filler than the brand. It took my cats a few days to get used to them, until then I was using half granular, half clay litter. I noticed that when I went down the stairs to the basement, I didn't detect a strong smell of urine. (I have 4 cats and 5 litter boxes, all in one place) The pellets turn to fine sawdust when wet and can stay in the litter box for 2 days without an odor (probably longer, but I haven't tried it). I didn't try. I haven't found any traces of it anywhere in the basement let alone in the house (which has often happened with clay litter) my cats initially left their poo at the top but as they got used to the pellets they learned to bury it. My cleaning routine. Clean poop as I see it. (usually daily) I have a tray with a sieve and so I sift out all the sawdust waste in the bin for 2 days. I keep unused pellets that I put back in the pans and add more as needed. Some granules get stuck in the screen but that wasn't a problem for me, a quick squeeze and they fall out. I have 1 cat with asthma and the light clay litter makes him cough so we had to buy a regular weight litter. The pellets haven't given him any problems yet (I'll let you know if anything changes). I will never go back to clay spatula. This stuff changed my life. I recommend getting a 40 lb bag of each brand of pellets if you have the space, that's plenty.
