I wear size 11.5 or 12 and these (L/XL) were just perfect. I have some calluses on my toes that chafe a bit so I wear a nylon sock to keep it from chafing. But most people could probably skip the socks. The fins would be PERFECT for travel as they are quite small (I travel with a 19" bag and they have plenty of room) but for snorkeling they are pretty efficient. The strap system isn't the most complex and I don't think they will last for years but for the money they will. They're great if you're going on a beach vacation or a cruise. As a note. Here at Revain there are several different fins with different names/suppliers where the fins look exactly the same because they are. This company has to make the same fins for many different companies, but I don't feel bad about it.
