When they arrived yesterday one of the fins was bent. I was afraid it wouldn't be fixed by the time I needed them. I was able to bend them back and put a heavy object on top and it seemed to work. In terms of functionality these things are great, easy to adjust, easy to put on your foot (make sure your foot and fins are wet to help) and secure. This is the second pair of short fins I've tried and I really like them. The sizing seems to be based on men's feet, so I found them a bit wider. for US shoe size 8-9. The fin is made of hard plastic to capture water very efficiently and the front flap is flexible to increase impact force. The shoe part has a small tab at the back to make it easier to put on. I wear size 11.5 or 12 and these (L/XL) were just perfect. I have some calluses on my toes that chafe a bit so I wear a nylon sock to keep it from chafing. But most people could probably skip the socks. The fins would be PERFECT for travel as they are quite small (I travel with a 19" bag and they have plenty of room) but for snorkeling they are pretty efficient. I have a size 12 male foot and these L-XL fins fit very comfortably and have room for larger feet thanks to the adjustable straps. My forefoot is snug but not too tight. The size chart says a maximum size 13 but I suspect even a size 14 will fit. These are smaller fins that are great for snorkeling and travel.
