Review on Crosley CR704B PA Musician Turntable Bluetooth by Eric Williamson

PROBLEMS! for players

Warning! DO NOT buy this player. Buy a different model. In August I received my first turntable. The turntable's power switch wasn't connected properly, so "off" was actually "on" and vice versa, but I figured I could live with that. The turntable turned, but no sound came from the speakers. At first I was concerned that these were my notes because they were old. So I got a new (verified) record and nada. The speakers didn't work. So I contacted Revain but it was too late to return, contacted Crosley and they said they would send me a refurbished model but would not let me trade. sigh ok So I wanted almost 3 months for a new player. It's finally here and yes, it works great! So I had to fiddle with the power button to turn the player on, but figured I could live with that. Worked great for three months. Now it won't turn on at all. The device turns on, but the player does not work. I will contact Crosley again and insist on a different model or decline this on my credit card. I don't want them to send me another model of the same model and I'm sure they will continue to do so until my warranty expires and then apologize! DO NOT buy this model. I can't speak for other Crosley models and of course the staff there were personable and helpful (apart from the 3 month wait for my new one). However, it is of no use if the product has defects. By the way, the sound quality is pretty good (when the speakers work), at least you get what you pay for, so it's not a $500 device. It's easy to use and looks great. But now it's dusty.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Very expensive
