First of all, I want to use these shoe bags for high-end shoes [over $300]. Please note this in my rating. The fabric/material is *very* stretchy. Like "good" quality, but not great. It seems too thin. My concern is that the material won't stand up to repeated machine washing [that's where most of the wear and tear occurs if only used as a shoe bag]. Another thing that worries me is that they can easily snag on something and the combination of 'thin' and 'elastic' can cause tearing or ripping of the seams. However, I do like the texture. If it was less elastic and thicker or better quality [higher density], it would be better. I didn't think of a color when ordering - my mistake. Color is a subjective choice, but it would be nice if offered in lighter colors like white, beige, tan, light gray, etc. for dress shoes. Yes, part of the purpose of shoe bags is to keep dirt away from other items in your luggage. However, if the dirt collects in the shoe bags and scratches the inside of the shoes, then that is a problem. Most people don't travel very regularly. So it would be nice to have it in lighter colors so you can see when the shoe bags need to be washed. In my opinion they are too flexible. But again, this is somewhat subjective and not the main issue. The real problem is that the seams have to "match" the "stretch level". When I stretched one of the pockets, the seams on either side of one pocket came undone. So either the material has to be less elastic or the seams have to be stronger. In any case, the design intent [contour + custom pockets + material category] is fantastic, but the execution needs a little tweaking to make them worth $$. So the current iteration [too elastic + weak seams + dark colors] is not a good value. I'm considering returning it, but I'll probably take the same risk with other shoe bags on the market. It's such a hassle to return cheap items when you have to pay for shipping back. But going anywhere physically costs $$ too. However, it is always VERY frustrating when online businesses shift the risk to the customer. However, I really want this product to be liked as I think it had good intentions. Hopefully this feedback/constructive criticism will be used to make the product more reliable. PS: Less stretch + offering in different size ranges like socks (e.g. small, medium, large) would also be ideal. Yes, it can be prohibitively expensive for a small start-up, but the better the product, the happier the customer, the better the positive feedback loop. Just a thought.
