We have an older dog who is no longer allowed upstairs. Luckily we didn't need anything that had to endure a lot of resistance. Installation was very easy and some extra adhesives were provided should you need them. Our friend approached him, tried to stick her head in, encountered resistance and was diverted with praise. The gate is still there as a reminder, but after a few days she doesn't even try to go up when it's up. I can definitely see that other people's criticism of the goal is justified. I can't imagine it could hold up to the energy of a puppy (or even if our dog were shyer) but for us it filled a need and the price was right. Would definitely buy again for that special occasion.
