Review on 🎭 Ugears Theater DIY Mechanical Construction Set - User-Friendly by Hank Mistretta

Pros: It's very cute when finished. The gears move easily and it's a lot stronger than I expected. They can be pretty gross if you turn it over. I let my 5 year old play with it (supervised). There were extra toothpicks and small (easily broken) pieces which was a big bonus. I broke 3 toothpicks but I have 3-4 left. The instructions are full color and very easy to follow. I would say it's more in the 10-12 year range than 14+. Cons: I was looking for something moderately complex that would take 3-5 hours. After reading the reviews I figured it would be a long time coming. However, it only took about 45 minutes from start to finish and was incredibly easy. One of the gears (top right) was misaligned after following the instructions. I adjusted it a bit on the toothpick and it works great. The gear toothpicks were a bit tricky to fit into the frame at the same time. I would like them to make the grooves deeper as that would be easier. Other thoughts: I used hand heated beeswax for the gears. I also waxed the toothpicks to make it easier to slide them through the gears. It's a fun project and I would suggest it. I just wish it was a little harder.
