Those glue sticks are pretty awful. Out of the box they have a rubbery, almost latex-like consistency. They are so pliable that they don't work well in my Adtech Pro200 glue gun, which usually works very well. When dry, they inflate so much they almost look like bubble wrap. And when they dry, they have a liquid consistency and color that can peel off the surface very easily. I love building styrofoam airplanes from scratch. Hot glue works great for this. But not these glue sticks. I bought Flite Test glue sticks as a last resort and the difference is better than the difference between a Walmart glue gun and an Adtech Pro200. FT glue sticks are denser (measured on a scale), harder, noticeably better feed, fewer bubbles, cleaner to dry, and hold parts together much better. I wish they would say what kind of glue sticks they use so they're available elsewhere, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find a replacement at the moment. better than what you can buy locally don't worry.
