Grainy 72 dpi with debris in scanner

This is by far the worst negative scanner I have ever bought.1. 72 dpi is the maximum resolution for 35mm negatives. EVERY PHOTO IS GRAINY, too grainy to use.2. The scanner itself is only 5 inches high and 3.5 inches wide. It fits in the palm of your hand.3. Although it comes with a tray cleaning tool, it is useless. Each scan came out with debris and the debris kept moving so it was clearly in the scanner and not on the negatives (all my negatives are in clear plastic archival sleeves). 4. Extremely confusing buttons. Apparently this was designed by a person who doesn't speak English. There are no words, only symbols that mean little.5. CAREFULLY. For each negative, you must first wipe the negative with a cotton swab, put it in the holder, press the home button, press the scan button twice, press the home button again, press the right arrow button twice, press the ok button . , and then wait for the small scanner to process the scanned image so it can be uploaded. This does NOT include any scan adjustments (I have Photoshop which is much faster). This process takes 5 minutes per negative.5. You can't slide the negative through the holder, although that's how it should work, and if you try, you'll bend the corner of the negative. :(6. The scanner won't scan negatives that aren't perfectly flat. When you finally get the image, it will be distorted. just rubbish.
