Review on Green Tidings Natural Deodorant Unscented by Michael Dunn

Great smell, darkened my armpits

I really wanted this to work. I used Dove all purpose deodorant and it left marks in my armpits soiling my shirts. I've heard that aluminum in deodorant causes this discoloration, so I switched to it in hopes of fixing the problem. I originally used the marigold and sage version and it smelled so awful I had to switch to an unscented deodorant just to use it. . Smells a lot better! In fact, it has practically no smell! So if you are looking for a deodorant with a very neutral scent due to a certain sensitivity to smells, this one is good. That's all I like about this deodorant. It doesn't stick very well and is so thick that it's difficult to apply. The stick isn't smooth either, there are strange lumps on it. I expect it to go on smoother in warmer weather, but it didn't fare as well in the milder weather of September and October when I used it. After application, it rolled in folds under the fossa and stayed there until I showered. However, it washes out quite easily. No baking soda sting, but my armpits started to darken after a few weeks. Where the deodorant pooled the skin was pale pink and the rest of my skin was a few shades darker than the rest of my skin. I stopped using deodorant and went back to the other Dove deodorants I had and the darkness was pretty much dissipated and the weird pink color was gone. A bad app makes it a pass for me. While I don't prefer a scent to the awful calendula and sage, I still prefer a scent that masks my odor after a few hours. I honestly wanted to try the Orange and Vanilla version of this product (I'm looking for the best subscribe and save deodorant and recent Orange and Vanilla attempts weren't available), but after trying two different deodorants from this brand, I won't even waste my time.
