Mid Level Robot Vacuum Cleaner

I have an old version of iRobot Roomba and my newest one is over 6 years old so I was happy to test the brand new version and check out the new features. Since this is a mid-range model, it's not entirely clear whether it's better to stick with the lower priced model or get the higher-end model unless that model meets all your needs. Hopefully the following will help you decide. *Design* It's about the same size as my older 780 Roomba but much lighter. The weight balance is not that good and the device is significantly heavier at the front (battery) than at the back. No handle like my old Roomba. Maybe iRobot doesn't plan for you to pick this thing up. I like the following texture top coat. The sounds it makes are a lot nicer and more modern than the old horns, and the overall build quality seems a bit better. There's still that little bumper in front to expose the wall (which has gotten a bit bigger, but not sure if it's any better). Below are usually 3 wheels, a rotating side brush, a new air cleaning system (two green silicone brushes stand out) and a few extra sensors for navigation. * Functionality of the vacuum cleaner * Charging is quite fast. Faster than my old model. The charging station looks the same as the old one. there are three buttons. One to turn on/off cleaning, go home (charging station) and the other to set up communication. The noise level is about the same, maybe a little lower than the older model, which is why some people may find it too loud, but then again you can set it to work when you're away from home. Speaking of which, unlike my old model, additional features can only be accessed through the iRobot app. From testing I have come to the conclusion that the performance and capabilities of the vacuum cleaner are much better than the old model. I have to admit I was surprised that it was better than the old brush design. The dust box is smaller and a bit awkward to put back in, unlike before when it pops out and pops out you have to put it in at an angle first and then inwards. It seems adapted to different types of surfaces. A nice feature is that after charging it will be picked up where it was left. *Cleaning* Aside from the silicone brushes, which seem easier to clean, the rest of the parts share the same issues, which is a shame. The hair gets caught on the wheels and the rotating brush. The trash can has some fun angles so it can be cleaned properly. You get an extra filter but I wish they had included a washable filter like they do on Dyson products. home, voice control communication and so on. The interface is sleek and modern, but I think most of the features will be useless for most people. All in all, this is a good budget upgrade from an older model unless you have a high-end model that has more or less the same features. If you don't need all of these features for connecting to another robot, or the option of a self-cleaning station (aka a vacuum for your vacuum), there are two lower tiers that are more affordable. If you need additional features like special room cleaning, allergen protection, etc., look for more expensive models. With all the competition iRobot currently has, especially in this price range, I don't think they've done enough with this model.
