Close, but not perfect for running

I bought the Forza as soon as I saw the first press reports and based on V-Moda's reputation and price. I am an avid runner and frequent traveler. I've had the headphones for about 2 weeks and have ridden them for about 10 runs and been on planes, Amtrak trains and the New York City subway. I listen to music all the time, but I'm not an audiophile. Earlier headphones include Bose Sound Sport (broken), Monster I-sport (small iPhone controls) and others. These headphones come in many great sizes, are small and very light. I haven't tried ear hooks, but I've tried several combinations of ear tips and wings. Everyday life and travel These headphones are excellent. Many previous headphones allowed you to drown out music/dialogue/phone calls with outside noise. When you seal well with the earcups, the sound is great, the bass is good, crisp and as loud as you need it to be, and they're comfortable. I don't feel like I've found the perfect headphones for this purpose. I have a feeling that Bose is better with their earbud (see picture) as it directs sound better into the ear. But I've had a few experiences with Bose customer service that put me off their brand and they're not that good for everyday/travel use due to outside noise. If you can get a good push to music listening with Forza I get a lot of what I would describe as a floor noise, each step is a heavy thumb bouncing off the headphones or my ears. It's not cable noise. Most of the time this goes away when the seal is broken and the ear cup loosens a bit, but then the sound isn't as good. Passable by my standards, but not what I was hoping for. I would love to see an in ear option like Bose and I think that would be perfect.
