Okay, I don't say that often. But in fact, this network adapter is great. I'm a PC/network specialist and I use this card on new and old Win PCs as well as RedHat, Mandrake and SUSE Linux. All Nix distributions recognize it without additional drivers. If you want to compile it into a kernel, get the driver from Dlink and have it, but it's not necessary. This network adapter works great on every operating system I've used it on. This is a great card for ADSL and works great with SpeadStream DSL modems. 3Com cards might have more bells and whistles, but for the price you can't go wrong—plus a lifetime warranty. The retail price of this card is around 35 or 40. In general, if you don't have a specific need for a specific network card, give this one a try!
