Review on πŸŒ‚ Smith Kung Fu Windproof Umbrellas: Innovative Folding Umbrellas by Ruth Reiners

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big size, enough protection for a compact umbrella (rugged construction + powerful opening/closing.

This is a great umbrella. It offers a lot of protection. I love that it folds up to 12 inches long can (still pretty big) ) and I can put it in a big bag or backpack. It has a pretty strong one-touch open/close mechanism. Switch buttons, and it takes two hands to close, a bit of effort for me. The fabric is stronger and more durable than a few umbrellas I've owned for years. It's made with two layers to provide extra protection and ventilation to let the wind through and prevent the umbrella from tipping over, which is definitely a priority I live in. I've read that many umbrellas have a 6 rib configuration, with 8 or 9 indicating stronger structure and presumably more wind resistance. well made - shaft, skids, subframe and ribs look and feel very solid. I ordered light blue which is a nice contrast to some of the more common colors. I have the leather J-handle version and I really like it - not only does it look great, it feels more comfortable and secure on long walks. The only downside for me is a very small one that several other reviewers have already mentioned; The logo is pretty intrusive. This is a patch that can be easily removed by pulling out a few stitches with a seam ripper. Overall I think it is very well made and has a few features that I would expect from a more expensive umbrella. It's durable and I doubt it will last long. The price seems very reasonable considering the quality.
