To assemble the upper parts are put on the lower parts, both made of metal. One side went through with no problems, but the other didn't. The top was about 1/8 inch wider. It was extremely difficult to move it far enough to fit on the floor. It took me at least 20 minutes and a lot of strength to finally assemble it. Once set up, it looks good and serves its purpose. However, plastic caps are also supplied to cover the screws. Once again, it took a lot of finger strength to put them on. After much trouble. 2 sore thumbs and 1 broken nail which I gave up after wearing 3 cups.
