Overall, I like this trimmer. It's easy to use, a nice size to handle and did a surprisingly good job at cutting my shelties fur between their paws.I, personally, wouldn't say it's quiet though. More like low volume noise. My dogs fidgeted a bit at first with the noise and sensation but settled very quickly. I also use the Dremel on their nails and it's quieter than that. The blade is tiny so this is for small jobs only. Having said that, it did a great job, even with their longer fur between their pads. When it was a little longer, I had to go through two times (& make sure to clean the blade with the included brush) but when I keep up on it it's a quick, one pass job.The charge doesn't seem to last very long for me and I'm not thrilled with that because I have to wait to for it to charge again when I realize it's not ready when I need it but I guess that's to be expected and I should just plug it in when I'm done. For $20 it's a good trimmer if you only need to do small areas, like feet and around the face, or you keep up on the trimming weekly. For bigger areas I would get something bigger.
