I didn't buy this for travel so can't comment on that, I only use this carrier to take my cats to the vet and they serve the purpose well . It looks and feels good and is sturdy enough to support a normal sized cat on short trips to and from the vet. This stretcher is smaller so my cat basically had to lie down, she can't stand in it, but it's fine for a 10-15 minute ride. It has 3 zippered access doors and removable padding inside. When using the strap the tabs on the strap look a little unsafe like they're about to rip out, even if they aren't, but I've switched to the handles just in case. Overall it's good value for money, it's very comfortable, my cats don't seem to hate it and even the vet loves it.
