Review on Farberware Pump Salad Spinner Green by Roderick Reynolds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and great!

My last salad bowl had a handle that was at least 30 years old. Used it all the time. The gearbox finally gave way. I wasn't sure about the pump locker and it wasn't expensive so I jumped in. With 6 liters I can put a lot of salad in the basket. A few clicks and it spins for at least a minute or two. I love that it has a stop button that you can use to slow it down or stop it altogether. I like that the pump is fixed as it fits better on the shelf I have for it. I love that the bowl is clear and big enough for me to grab when I need an extra salad bowl or bowl of chips. I noticed a few things: the basket allows for small pieces to be discarded and I mean small pieces of lettuce that need to be squeezed out. between the rings and roll into a bowl. I don't seem to get the lettuce that dry, but that might just mean I need to rotate it more. The bowl and basket are easy to clean, the top is a little clunky and you have to be careful to turn it over so the water can drain. It is not dishwasher safe. You'll find this on the back of the cardboard that wraps around it, not on the bottom like some kitchen tools. I think it's a great nutcase and if I get 30 years of it it will be even better.
