It turns on or off but still works.

I really like it. I mainly use this to connect my wired keyboard as I use my iPad for school. My only issue is that sometimes it disconnects on its own and I'm not sure if it's the keyboard so I have to disconnect and reconnect it to my iPad. Anyway, this works for what I want.
