The broomstick is not long enough for me to bend down. I'm 5'4", not very tall, but too tall for this broom. My back hurts so much. What I also don't like is that you can't fold the shovel to empty it. You have to put it on its side twisting or flipping it's dangerous lol but i like the soft bristles on the broom usually when i buy a new broom the bristles are so hard you can't steer the broom it just throws trash around the room There is no need to break the bristles on this broom, my suggestion is to make the broom handle retractable and the dustpan foldable for easy disposal of what I've swept.
