USB disconnect problem

I've been using these cables since July 2016. I use this cable for external USB docking stations with two and four docks. Both USB cables and docking stations are USB-3. I noticed a long time ago that the three drives in the dock used for my desktop reinitialize frequently, but not enough to be inconvenient. The second docking station was deployed elsewhere and kept daily backups from the PC it was connected to. I went in to check the fuses in the vault and found that the drive wasn't visible even though the USB dock was powered on. I restarted the dock and the drive showed up. That same evening I checked the drive again and it was gone again. I took the drive and docking station home to test. In short, USB 3 Cable Maters turned out to be the cause of the problem. Of the 5 cables I bought, 1 worked randomly (on my home PC), 1 worked and then kept disconnecting (at a remote location), and 3 didn't work at all when tested. I threw them all away and installed various USB 3 cables. This happened a week ago and I haven't had any issues with disabled USB ports since. 1 worked randomly (on my home PC), 1 worked and then kept disconnecting (at a remote location) and 3 didn't work at all when tested.
