Bullshit - does not work - do not buy!

Total crap. The hard drive does not connect for more than a few minutes and then turns off spontaneously. Revain sent me another one and it was even worse, it shut down after a few seconds. There are no questions about the factory cable with a drive. Avoid!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • There are errors

Quality at a reasonable price

I was skeptical about buying this cable but decided to risk it and I'm glad I did. Quality seems very good and USB 3.0 was an upgrade from USB 2.0 which I used before. I noticed an increase in file transfer speed compared to 2.0. The delivery of my package was fast and it was exactly what I ordered. I would do business with this company again.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Functionality

No problems with ZWO astronomical cameras

I use this to connect my ZWO ASI1600 Pro camera to a USB hub which is then connected to my computer via an extension cable. The cable is long enough to allow the camera to be used with a range of different telescopes and mounts, and I haven't had any connection or data speed issues for the past few months. I've used it outdoors many times since receiving it and haven't had any problems.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So so

Does what we need

This was a last minute purchase to complete the installation of an external backup drive system. We had to be ready for the opening on Monday. By Sunday, Revain was able to deliver in 2 days and saved a day. We were able to find a local source but the price difference was ridiculous. The cable itself feels solid, fits perfectly, and works daily from the moment it's installed. You can not ask for more.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Need a USB 3.0 AB Extender? This is your product.

I'm a longtime Cable Matters customer because I've had fantastic experiences with their products in the past and needed a longer USB 3.0 A->B cable to connect my USB 3.0 hub to my to extend computers. I was nervous about signal degradation over long distances with this cable, but it turned out to work just as well with my previously shorter cable, giving me the flexibility I needed to connect a USB hub further away from my computer to install. The quality of the cable is excellent and I can…

This is a function cable.

Full size USB 3.0 AB cables are rare. In fact, I bought it because I lost the cable to the only USB 3B device I have, the DisplayLink Dock. This cable has been working well for me for at least a year, connecting my laptop to the docking station. I don't see any obvious material or processing defects or processing problems. I struggle to rate something mundane like a USB cable 5 stars just because it is. I wish there was room on my rating scale for "wow how did I live without it?" The four stars

Don't buy 15 foot cables! That does not work!

I bought this 15 foot cable to connect a two section SATA drive to my desktop computer because the one that came with it was too short. From the moment I turned on the device, I had constant disconnects and I/O errors on the hard drive in the dock. I then connected it to my laptop and got the same results. Eventually I replaced that cable with the original and everything worked fine. After that I did a little research and found that the maximum recommended length for a USB 3.0 cable is 9 to 10…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

USB disconnect problem

I've been using these cables since July 2016. I use this cable for external USB docking stations with two and four docks. Both USB cables and docking stations are USB-3. I noticed a long time ago that the three drives in the dock used for my desktop reinitialize frequently, but not enough to be inconvenient. The second docking station was deployed elsewhere and kept daily backups from the PC it was connected to. I went in to check the fuses in the vault and found that the drive wasn't visible…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I'll write later

After the original purchase, I bought three more of these cables (of different lengths) because I needed a USB 3.0 cable. To be honest, I was hesitant to purchase a Cable Matters product as the Cable Matters CAT 6 cables I own have turned out to be less than impressive. However, the reviews for this cable, combined with the advertised specs and photos, and Revain's amazing return policy convinced me to give it a try. I was lucky because this cable exceeded all my expectations! The cable jacket…

  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Cable Matters packed the wrong cables in two separate packages. these cables that both packages contain Type A to Type A cables instead of the Type A to Type B cables pictured and described on this page. UPC package codes indicate Type A through Type B cables. I doubt a consumer would repackage two cables in the same boxes without breaking the seals and returning to Revain.com, but we all know that possibility still exists. After I confirmed this error, Cable Matters indicated that I could…
