First my measurements: Weight: 185 pounds Chest: 40.5-41 inches Belly: 37.5 inches Waist: 35 inches Buttocks/Croup: 38 inches Hips: 21.5 inches - 22" Inseam: 30" Biceps (loose): 12"-12.5" So you don't try to plug them into a body sculpting program and then figure out how out of shape I am, I'll just tell you - - It's pretty much an average dad body. According to the size chart I have to wear extra large shorts. I ordered this and found it was actually a little baggy on me. The chest was ok but there was 2-3" headroom in the waist and the croup was also a little baggy. Sent it back and got a large one. This one fit much better although it seemed to stretch a bit when wet , especially around the legs If you are familiar with wetsuits you know they have to be very tight and the large fits me just about and if I were to order again I would probably choose the large short mainly because of the wide/long legs I use it for wakeboarding so while the fit is important it was more important that I had enough flexibility.Riding wakeboarding.More expensive wetsuits are made with 2mm neoprene or more elastic material around the flex zones.It's just 3mm from From what I can tell but since it's not too tight it moves great for what I need.I've used it in 65 deg air/64 deg water and it has kept me warm for hours. . Again, this was for wakeboarding, so I was out of the water more than in it. I haven't snorkeled/dived in it so I don't know how well it keeps you warm. One note: this is a wetsuit so water needs to get inside. A thin layer of water penetrating the suit keeps you warm. So when you first get wet it will be cold until the insulation process begins. If you find that too much water has gotten into your suit, you probably won't stay warm and you'll probably want a size smaller. You can get wetsuits that are superior to this brand but they cost $100. Overall this wetsuit offers good value for money.
