I'm sure there are lighter and more complex speedbags out there for the serious cyclist. I'm not one of them. I am preparing for a 50 mile ride on a used road bike. Maybe someday I'll do the local 150 miles. But right now I just need things that work. This product works. It conveniently fits a set of tire levers, a spare inner tube, a CO2 bottle and nozzle, a chain changing tool, several allen wrenches and a pressure gauge. Unzip the bottom to expand it and you can probably fit a few more small things in. You can hang a small reflective lantern from the back, but it also has reflective trimmings if you don't have one. The velcro closure system is easy and you can get a decent fit. So yeah, I'm sure you can drop 2-3x on the ultralight version with bells and whistles, but unless you count grams and display your drag, you probably don't have to. This is a fair priced product that does what it is supposed to do. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys cycling and isn't concerned about shaving a split second on a time trial or going cross country with absolutely minimal weight.
