Wi-Fi versions of these are available for slightly more money. You can then check if the fish are being fed. But it's easier to program and doesn't have to deal with applications. I strongly recommend that you set it up, say a week or so, before you need it. You have to play around with how much fish food you spend from there and make sure it does what you wanted. He says it holds 200ml but if you have a small feed it tends to pack in a little so I'd say 175 just to make sure it works. Requires AA batteries (not included).
