Review on Corair Carbide 678C: Low Noise Tempered Glass ATX Case in Stylish White by Dexter Diaz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good hard drive case and for those who don't need a full size tower

Pros: Supports e-ATX boards despite being an ATX case Can hold up to 8 3.5 hard drives (Corsair includes 6 hard drives only Drive brackets ) 3 2.5 rear hard drive brackets and a top drive bay for DVD drive. Plenty of space to work with cables. Good quality panels and paintwork on the white body. Difficult in this case if you have a 3 slot card like the ftw3 as it only supports 2 slots or if you have a tall card like the Gaming x Trio which can get in the way of the hard drive bays a bit. The front panel is made of plastic and has no air. Air vents unless you open the front. For the price you can expect some RGB fans to be included. Might get tight if you have a long or thick GPU (maybe it's just me as I have a lot of hard drives). better for icing, but for a $200 case, it's not worth it. Wish Corsair installed the remaining 2 3.5" hard drive bays and the front bezel was not plastic. As for airflow, make sure you have plenty of top fans pulling air out of the top vents when you close the front. Updated with tested GPU1. Vertical mounting of Evga Ftw3 is not possible due to three slots, conventional mounting is not a problem, but comes very close to the second HDD cage from below2. The Msigaming x Trio GPU is very long, so you need to remove the 2nd hard drive bay and/or the 3rd hard drive bay to install it. The vertical bracket must be removed before the third hard drive bay due to the length and height of the card3. The Gigabyte aorus xtreme GPU fits in easily and when mounted vertically there is no problem with the hard drive bay. To install Asus Matrix, you need to remove the second hard drive cage, but it is recommended to remove the third. Vertical mounting is also best for removing the third hard drive bay.
